Jenny Williams, Chief Executive of Habitat for Humanity Ireland, expressed her excitement about the formal partnership with SONAS, which stands as their most significant all-Ireland partnership and will have a tangible impact on the individuals they assist. Since 2012, Habitat ReStore has opened four stores across Northern Ireland and launched in Drogheda in 2022, with plans for further expansion throughout Ireland. The stores sell donated building supplies and home improvement materials at affordable prices, empowering local residents to enhance their homes while also generating essential funds globally.

Creating Sustainable Impact: Habitat's Efforts in Low-Cost Materials Access, Skills Development, and Environmental Conservation

Habitat enables 45,000 people to access low-cost materials and offers volunteering opportunities. They divert 1,000 tons of reusable material from landfills annually and raise vital funds. Our work helps to build a more sustainable future and contributes to achieving recycling targets.”
