Sonas Bathrooms

As our bathroom showroom sales advisor I am often the first point of contact for people viewing our products designs and features. People feel very comfortable when they enter our showroom and at 5000 sq. ft. we have plenty of designs and options on show for people to view.

Every week I get asked lots of different questions from customers and deal with various kinds of queries. A selection of these would include; explaining product features that suit customer needs, difference between the various shower enclosures and trays, sizes and measurements, bathroom layout plans, 'how-to' queries and generating quotations based on customer requirements.

Every Monday I will post a selection of popular customer queries from our showroom together with info on any new products and showroom updates that may interest you. As always, if I can be of any help please do not hesitate to contact me directly at [email protected]

Q. Can you extend or are our shower doors adjustable?

A. Yes our shower doors are adjustable. The best thing to do is to measure the distance between wall-to-wall AFTER tiling. Doors allow for adjustment each side inside the wall frame, and adjustment varies depending on type of door and if using in conjunction with a side panel or not.

Q. How do you change the push button on the toilet?

A. This is a very popular question and one that gets asked a lot. The simple answer is that just you unscrew it anti clockwise. The button is on a thread and can be removed after turning in an anti-clockwise movement, this will then allow you to remove the lid and access to the working parts of the cistern to carry out cleaning and servicing.

Q. How much does it cost to install a shower door?

A. We are not installers so you would need to check with your installer as prices/charges may vary. Like most things, I would recommend getting 2 or 3 different quotes and compare them to see which suits best.

Q. Will any of your shower doors fit a standard tray, I have quite an old one at home?

A. Yes they are universal so will fit any tray. There is sometimes an exception though with the 800 Quadrant. All our 800mm quadrant doors have a 550 radius, some older trays may have a 450 radius although this is quite rare, so again check with your installer first.
